The International Inventories Programme will host its fourth members workshop in Nairobi between the 25th and 29th of November. This week long workshop will provide a framework to discuss current progress and research findings, as well as forge the continuing collaboration between IIP members on our new exhibition project - Invisible Inventories - and introduce new members to the project.

Towards the end of the workshop, IIP will host the 4th Object Movement Dialogue on Thursday, 28th November 2019 from 6pm at the National Museums of Kenya. In this session, we will Jimbi Katana (Malindi) on decolonising museum practices and restitution of African objects from the global North. The conversation will be moderated by IIP member Dr. Njoki Ngumi (Nairobi).

This special edition of the Object Movement Dialogues will also be the official launch of IIP's exhibition project - Invisible Inventories - in which artists and researchers from Kenya and Germany will collaborate with the National Museums of Kenya (NMK) in Nairobi, the Rautenstrauch-Joest Museum (RJM) in Cologne and the Weltkulturen Museum (WKM) in Frankfurt/Main to produce a series of three exhibitions between 2020 and 2021.

Admission is free, and we'd be happy to see you all on the 28th of November!
