Ethiopia: Monument to the Lion of Judah
The Monument to the Lion of Judah was erected on the eve of Emperor Haile Selassie's coronation in Addis Ababa. However, in 1935, during the Italian invasion of Ethiopia, the statue was looted by Fascist Italian forces and taken to Rome.
