Nigeria: the Twelve Brass Plaques

These 12 brass plaques from Benin City were looted by British colonial troops who invaded Benin City in 1897. The British forces removed an estimated 10,000 objects made of copper alloy, including plaques and other artworks, from the Oba's palace.
