On November 29th 2019, the IIP team were happy to host our fourth public debate at the Nairobi National Museum's Kenya Hall, where partnership members National Museums of Kenya (represented by Mr. George Juma) gave presentations to members of the public and press on our activities since the project launch, as well as details of our new exhibition project - Invisible Inventories.

This was followed by a conversation between Mr. Jimbi Katana and IIP's Dr. Njoki Ngumi about decolonising museum practices and restitution of african objects (particularly the vigango of the Kenyan Mijikenda tribes, which have been the subject of illicit trade and exchange since the 70s) from the global north. We were happy to receive a multitude of visitors from wide ranging backgrounds who engaged with us on the project and the wider issues of object movement, and to have your company as we launch our new exhibition project (with a cake!).

The IIP team wishes to thank all its partners, collaborators, friends and the wider public(s) for their interest and support in our work. Wishing you all the happiest of holidays, and a spectacular 2020!
